New York City native and a graduate from Cornell University & Staten Island Technical High School, Jeffrey R. Berardelli, better known as Jeff Berardelli, AKA The Weather Professor, is an American television meteorologist for WFOR-TV in Miami. Jeff is also the creator and President of ZoomRadar.com LLC, an interactive weather company for media websites. Since its founding 3 years ago, ZoomRadar has grown to serve a few dozen media websites across the nation. In addition to his weather duties at WFOR-TV he is also an Adjunct Professor of Broadcast Meteorology at the University of Miami. Jeff also produces a weekly fishing and saltwater sports segments for WFOR-TV & WBFS-TV.
Before accepting a job at WFOR-TV in March 2007, he was the morning meteorologist for WCBS-TV in New York City and fill-in weather presenter on CBS Network's The Early Show for three years. In addition to his television work in New York City, the native Staten Islander served as a professor of weather, climate and climate change at the College of Staten Island. Before that, he served as a meteorologist on the Tampa, Florida CBS affiliate WTSP-TV, where he worked for three years. Prior to his employment there, he worked for the Florida equvilant of NY1, Bay News 9, for three years.
While attending Cornell University, he served a meteorologist at WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, New York and WETM-TV in Elmira, New York. Also during his time at Cornell, Jeff was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi (Rockledge) Fraternity and his pledge name was "Babs".
Berardelli holds an American Meteorological Society seal of approval #1064. Jeff is board member of the Children's Cancer Caring Center & Get Kids Fishing Foundation in South Florida. Jeff also works closely with the 9-11 Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation commemorating the victims and heroes of 9-11.
